How we work

Advise. Build. Train.

In that order, for a reason. The sequence below is how most engagements actually run.

01 · The sequence

Five steps, in order.

  1. Start with a room

Most engagements begin with the executive strategic build. Everything is easier once the leadership team has been in the room together, because the arguments happen once, in front of each other, instead of five times in five hallways.

  2. Then build the muscle

Fluency, team, and adoption. AI is not a project, it is a capability. A strategy that lands on an organization with no fluency simply becomes a document with a nice cover.

  3. Then protect the voice

Slop reduction and AEO. The last thing you want is to get good at AI and sound worse for it. Voice standards and review workflows go in before volume goes up, not after the complaints start.

  4. Then go deeper

Data, models, infrastructure, cost. When you are ready, and not before. Most organizations that start here spend money proving something they had not yet decided they wanted.

  5. Or keep us around

Fractional AI lead: a head of AI without the headcount. Monthly, with your leadership team, holding the framework steady while the organization catches up to it.

02 · Three capabilities

What we bring.

01

Advise

The five lanes, principal-led. Transformation, governance, ethics, framework, and communication. This is where every engagement starts, because every other decision depends on the thinking done here.

02

Build

Delivered by the partner bench under the Aligned Intelligence framework, with the principal as account lead. Agents, integrations, lifecycle work, pilots, evaluation, and QA, held to the standard the strategy set.

03

Train

Fluency, adoption, and change management, so the shiny new thing does not die on contact with the actual team. Champions, workflows, and standards people can use on a Tuesday.

03 · Engagement types

Three ways to start.

Workshop and diagnostic

Fixed fee. Two days to two weeks. Prove value fast.

Project

Fixed fee or milestone. Four to twelve weeks.

Retainer

Monthly. Fractional AI lead. Six to twelve month terms.

We price the outcome, not the hours. The executive build is priced against what a bad AI decision costs a leadership team, not against a day rate.

04 · What we are not

Not a dev shop, not a reseller.

A dev shop, a systems integrator, or a vendor reseller. We make sure the organization knows why it needs AI, can use it, and does not embarrass itself with it. When there is building to do, our partner bench does it under our framework, with our principal as your account lead.

05 · The standard we hold

Five commitments, in plain language, without asterisks.

  1. Every proposal names the outcome and the price.

  2. Every engagement starts in a room, not a deck.

  3. You always know which lane you are in and who is leading it.

  4. Nothing gets built before the governance is written.

  5. You hear from a person within two business days. Always.
